How To Reduce Your Laundry Pile

Most of the time, we find ourselves too busy (or lazy) to do laundry and so, after a few days, it begins to pile up. Unfortunately, no matter how many times you delay doing the laundry, it isn’t going to clean itself…ever! Fortunately for you, we have compiled a few tips on how to reduce your laundry pile.

How To Reduce Your Laundry Pile

  • Wear some clothes more than once
  • Avoid procrastination
  • Keep your clothes organised
  • Implement a laundry routine
  • Outsource your laundry

Wear Some Clothes More Than Once

Sometimes we think clothes are already ‘dirty’ after 1-2 wears. YES, this is true if clothes are noticeably soiled. But did you know that some of our clothes shouldn’t even be washed until the 4th or 5th wear? Save yourself the extra laundry and check how often you should be washing your clothes.

Avoid Procrastination

Delaying or avoiding laundry is probably the MAIN reason why it just doesn’t get done when it’s supposed to. You tell yourself you’re going to do it, and all of sudden 3 days have gone by and more clothes have piled up. Do your laundry when you know it needs to be done! The more you wait, the more clothes you’ll have to go through.

Keep Your Clothes Organised

After doing the laundry, you want to fold, iron and put your clothes away asap! When you organise your clothes, you’ll be able to differentiate the just cleaned clothes to ‘the chair’ clothes, if you know what I mean. It will also keep you from putting clean clothes that are super creased and have been forgotten about, back into the laundry again.

Implement A Laundry Routine

One of the best ways to help reduce your laundry pile is to stay on top of your laundry! Create a weekly laundry routine for you to follow, so that you actually start to tame the ridiculous laundry pile. If you plan your routine properly, you’ll find that tending to your laundry on specific days means you actually have less laundry to do than before.

Outsource Your Laundry

With laundry collection and delivery services, there really is no excuse for you to not get your laundry done. If you still struggle with keeping up with the laundry even after you’ve tried the above tips, the only solution for you now to reduce your laundry pile is to book a laundry service.
